The new sheer henley from NO and the shirt from Zigana are both perfect for layering, so here they are together. I picked up the snowflake motif in the shirt with two necklaces, and the lotus flower on the jeans (at least I think that’s what it is) with lotus earrings (not sure whether these are still available). The pose is Marukin’s “Pavlova”.

Kimono from MiuMin

MiuMin does beautiful kimono, usually complete with accessories. This one came with the blue ball that has two poses in it. I also bought (for 100 Linden) a posing box (see below), that has nice details like the tassel handle at the front. There is one rezzed in MiuMin’s shop, too, so if you didn’t want to buy it you could still use it to pose yourself and take pictures.

Warmer times

This hair isn’t quite blue enough for regular wear, but I love the style (I already have it in the colour that’s nearest to blue) and I couldn’t resist snapping it up at the latest collabor88. Everything there is a price ending in 8, with a lot of things (like the hair) at 88 Linden. The earrings and necklace came from there too (the other earring has red rings, or stones, or whatever they are) and so did the pose prop chair.

sf design always do good freebies, and this cardigan is no exception. The “give a freebie to attract buyers” strategy worked with me, as I bought the boots to match: in RL I have been tempted by grey knitted boots like this, but it is so damp in the UK, that whenever it was cold enough to wear them, they would let in the rain. Not a problem in SL, though.

Getting ready for the New Year’s Ball

The seasonal gifts from G. Field are always great, and this “2011 Holiday Dress” gift is fluffy and gorgeous. They also had a half price sale on white and red items, and I invested in these white heels with colour-change roses. Lavender dream

Quite a few people blogged this lovely cardigan when it appeared at the Vintage Fair, and I like a lot about it, including the lacey frill, the dangling ribbons (which hang beautifully, and come in several shades) and the muted colours. I matched it up with some old favourites (the skirt, undershirt and boots) and a couple of new items from the latest colabor88. These are the icicle necklace and earrings from Earthstones and the pretty hair from Clawtooth. Unfortunately the swoop of the hair means you can’t actually see the earrings, but they have the same pendant as the necklace

I just adore the new offshoot from Boho Hobo, Meena, which has a shop full of colourful, nicely fitting, reasonably priced clothes. I wanted to buy the whole shop, and I did get quite a few items. This afghan coat has very nice sleeves, but I liked the effect of the floaty sn@tch blouse cuffs instead. The shop is set with the Afghanistan Museum in a very atmospheric evocation of Afghanistan, with a river gorge and camels.
