Caroline’s

Snowflakes
The new sheer henley from NO and the shirt from Zigana are both perfect for layering, so here they are together. I picked up the snowflake motif in the shirt with two necklaces, and the lotus flower on the jeans (at least I think that’s what it is) with lotus earrings (not sure whether these are still available). The pose is Marukin’s “Pavlova”.

Crazy for brick

Another brick colour for the 52 weeks of colour challenge. I started out with the Oyakin sweater (it looked very bricky in the vendor) and some Amacci hair that I just bought, then pulled out the skirt, leggings, undershirt and boots from my inventory. I played around with jewelry that I already had, too, but then I was lured into the Jewelry Fair (see previous post), so I’m showing off some of my foolish purchases.
I love practically anything with peacock feathers, and ended up with 2 sets of peacock feather earrings: the ones I’m wearing and another pair that came with the bracelet (left arm) and a matching necklace. I came across a couple of designers I had forgotten about, like Aliunn, who created the leather bracelet that I’ve got on just above the feather one.
Then I tried out the poses in the Croire booth – they are “Crazy Bag Lady” poses, but when my head blocked out the “bag” it seemed to fit me perfectly.

As the bracelets don’t show up well in the first picture, I show them below, plus a gatcha bracelet from Earthstones’ booth (the green one, worn together with the red wrapped bracelet). I’ve also included a more detailed picture of the crown and necklace in my last posting: the crown was from Centopalini and the Bow Necklace a free item from Fairy Tail.

Shopping with patriarch

Patriarch, the latest of the 52 weeks of colour challenges, turns out to be a rich purple. I have lots of purple in my inventory, and this jacket seemed nearest to the swatch. I then decided to get yet another pair of Callie Cline jeans and another Zaara shawl. I don’t often buy bags, but this new one from Glow Studio is very pretty and big enough to hold some of my purchases in the Atomic sim, which now houses Nordari as well.

Ruby on the edge
I thought I had some ruby slippers (like in Wizard of Oz) in my inventory (for ruby week in 52 weeks of colour), but no. If the flats that Mimikri brought out recently had been in ruby, I’d have definitely got those, but the nearest colour was pink. Then I saw these Swansong ruby flats on Sawa Gothly, and they have butterflies on, which was the clincher. However, you’ll need to look at the 2nd picture to see them. Seeking somewhere to take pictures, I remembered that Cajsa Lilliehook had used ImagiLearning, so I went there. After posing on castle battlements, I trekked up to the volcano and stood on the edge. Although my pretty shoes and feet seem to have melted, I felt no pain (and after that I fell in, and survived, but I decided it was probably time to tp out).

Aubergene/ eggplant
This week’s 52 weeks of colour colour is “eggplant”, or aubergine as we call it over here in the UK. I think I might be a bit brownish for aubergene (more like maroon), but to make up, I am tending some 40 Linden copiable aubergene plants.
In fact I found I ended up in West Ham colours of maroon and sky blue (I’m not a football fan myself, but that was the team my father supported).

Mishti tank in sky: Zaara
Vintage cardi: Rach Snookums (no longer inworld)

Blue and White
When I saw this new lovely fluffy skirt I dashed across and bought at once, as I knew it would go with my new embellished Zaara top. For the rest I managed to keep to old favourites, except for retinting my tights (thank you G Field for providing the permissions!)
I am always on the look out for still-available skins that I don’t feel yuck in – most of them are too highly coloured for me and/or have horrible pouty mouths. I feel fairly comfortable in this new skin from AMD. It is “gothly” shade: I would like it to be a bit more evenly pale myself, but I thought it was fairly pretty, with some nice detail.
Zayba top: Zaara

Teal, on Megalith
I dressed up in tartan for a Scottish music event, and then realised that I had this tartan skirt in teal, so that decided the rest of the outfit for the 52 weeks of colour challenge. It is the very reasonably priced “Bonney Lass” skirt from Pixeldolls. I’ve had this a good while, but it wasn’t til I was looking for a jacket that I realised there was a “Bonney Lass” jacket to go with it, so I bought that too. The brooch is very like the sort of thing that gets worn with RL tartan dress.
This is a sturdy sort of costume so I was pleased to come across the Megalith sim, where I could get down to chopping some wood for my highland croft.
Working costume in teal: Chopping wood on Megalith
Bonney lass skirt and jacket in teal: Pixeldolls
Sweatshirt: Jane
Vinca brooch: Rozoregalia
Drop Earrings in blues: Caroline’s
