Kitty and mesh

I’m being very cautious with mesh clothes, because I go to meetings where I know that quite a few people don’t have browsers that render mesh properly. I’ve already had one experience (wearing this very outfit) where someone’s video of the event has me with a bald hairbase and part of my top half missing. I’m really looking forward to a time when I can wear mesh with more confidence, though, because items like this sweater are really great to wear, and it was SO nice having a long plait that moved with me, rather than sticking in me. I took this picture in a shop that had a cute devil-kitty wandering round to pet.

In Drowsy
I took this in the newly-repoened Drowsy sim, where you can get the wearable bear and birdcage free. I’m wearing a smart tweed dress from Mimikri, with a jumper and thick tights to keep out the cold.

Teal, on Megalith
I dressed up in tartan for a Scottish music event, and then realised that I had this tartan skirt in teal, so that decided the rest of the outfit for the 52 weeks of colour challenge. It is the very reasonably priced “Bonney Lass” skirt from Pixeldolls. I’ve had this a good while, but it wasn’t til I was looking for a jacket that I realised there was a “Bonney Lass” jacket to go with it, so I bought that too. The brooch is very like the sort of thing that gets worn with RL tartan dress.
This is a sturdy sort of costume so I was pleased to come across the Megalith sim, where I could get down to chopping some wood for my highland croft.

Sienna
The latest 52 weeks of colour challenge is a rich burnt sienna. I have been looking for an excuse to get one of the Piz jumpers, so when I saw this modelled on the Mimikri blog I decided that was good enough. I ended up with a cosy bohemian look, with the swishy velvet skirt and a luxurious pashmina. With all that fringing I didn’t need much jewellery, so I’m just wearing some earrings from Twinkleberry. The cosy theme enabled me to keep on my expensive fur-lined boots.
I took the pictures on the Patron sim, where there is a furniture/art gallery, an enchanted garden and a sienna-coloured hall (last picture).

Does this count as yellow?
I’m not sure this counts as yellow: I started with good intentions, but a lot of green crept in (not normally a colour I wear, it tends to clash with my hair). This patchwork dress came out last year but I still think it’s great, and the colours tone nicely with the (luc) set. They all have distinct patches of yellow, honest…¬† Undoubtedly yellow is the Swirly Cardigan. However, I’m afraid it degenerates into dark green as far as the rest of the clothes go.

The snowmen look pretty happy about it, though.

This is week¬† 6 of Luna Jubilee’s 52 weeks of colour challenge and here is her yellow “starter post!

We are golden
Goldenrod was this week’s 52 weeks of colour challenge and of course it was certainly harder than blue, but I found a surprising amount of yellow in my inventory. I did actually find some tights that were “goldenrod” in colour, but I thought they looked a bit yucky (they were more like mud, frankly).
This skirt was the starting point – I think it might have been a hunt gift or a lucky board item. I went for triple layering on my top half, and I rooted out this necklace, which has really good quality colour-change options.
This Melino Style cabinet is really pretty, and also really golden, so I thought I’d use it as a back drop. BTW the “we are golden” title is a reference to an old song (“we are stardust, we are golden…”)
