Teal tales

Most of the stuff at the latest colabor88 is mesh, but I was happy to put on this non-mesh outfit from Nylon Outfitters: I could see my proper shape again! I realised after I’d taken the pictures that I don’t showcase a feature of the jacket: the pretty pattern on the back. That pattern is one reason why I chose this hairstyle (so the back wasn’t covered up). The mesh hair from Wasabi Pills has a very cute braid and a beautiful sweep of hair, that leaves one side of the scalp uncovered. They supply a “shaved head” base, but that is my one complaint as you only get it in green in this coloureds pack. In the notecard it says that this should work with all the hair in this pack, but frankly it looked too green. Fortunately this teal hairbase from Truth matched nicely.

Bronzed
Bronze is the latest in Luna Jubilee’s 52 weeks of colour challenge, and it is a nice autumn colour, so I took some of the pictures outdoors. My outfit got hippier and hippier, but the bag is the only thing I bought specially, it has really cute details. I got the mixx feather hair ornaments absolutely ages ago, but this is the first time I’ve really felt they worked nicely, in with the Tasmine loosely braided hair.

Chartreuse
I decided I’d solved the chartreuse problem (for the 52 weeks of colour challenge) when I found this satin jacket from Lika Ruby, then when I went to Zaara to pick up the earrings that are part of the Platinum Hunt, I wandered into Tesla and couldn’t resist these shoes. They’re a really shiny metalic green, like little green shiny beetles. My cat Quilt was lying in her favourite position flat out on the floor and I thought she made a nice contrast to the shoes.

Princess bride
When I first saw that white was the next in Luna Jubilee’s 52 weeks of colour I thought I might try and avoid the obvious bridal theme – but then I remembered I had this beautiful fluffy Evie’s Closet dress in my inventory, and I really had to go for the wedding look. With a dress as elaborate as this you don’t need much else: I used a flower wreath (also by Evie’s closet), a pretty bouquet, and some intricate jewels from Yummy. The Lost Princess picture and chair in the background are by Mudshake and the harpsichord by Grey Kurka.
